FREE CONNECTED COMMUNITIES TOGETHER – NEWBOTTLE
We’re pleased to introduce our new Connected Communities Together sessions for adults living across the Coalfields area of Sunderland.
Thanks to funding from Coalfield Sunderland Community / Sunderland City Council Coalfield Area Committee, these sessions have been developed to support adults who may be experiencing social isolation, anxiety, low confidence or reduced opportunities to get involved in local community activities.
We know that people can become disconnected from their community for many different reasons. Some may live alone, have experienced bereavement, have caring responsibilities, be managing long-term health conditions, or simply feel that their confidence has reduced over time. Financial pressures and the cost of living can also make it harder to access enjoyable wellbeing and creative activities.
Our sessions provide a calm, welcoming and supportive space where people can enjoy a light breakfast, take part in gentle movement, try creative and growing activities, enjoy a little fun with Stand-Up Sit-Down Bingo, learn something new and spend time with others in a relaxed environment.
There is no pressure and no previous experience is needed. The aim is to help people feel more confident, improve wellbeing, enjoy meaningful activities and strengthen their connection with their local community and form new friendships.
