Workshop Overview

In this workshop you’ll learn how to draw a manga version of yourself. You will then be shown how to add magical accessories and effects to your drawing. What powers will you give yourself? Do you use them for good or for bad?!

Age Range: 8 - 14

Cost: £15 per child (plus small booking fee)

All materials will be provided and all abilities welcome.

Please plan your journey to the venue and arrive for the workshop in good time, with your eventbrite ticket / booking information ready for a smooth check in. Magical Manga will start promptly at 11am, and finish at 12:30pm.

Important information for your visit

Conqueror Hall is a community centre located on Harold Drive in Eastbourne, East Sussex, situated in the Kingsmere residential area. There are two small play areas and a basketball court located nearby. Sovereign Harbour is not far away - the ideal place to shop, unwind and dine after the workshop.

Travelling by Car / Parking

There are approximately 15 parking spaces available on-site, but additional street parking is available in the surrounding area. Please be considerate to other visitors and residents if choosing to park in the estate itself. The space immediately outside the front doors should be left clear for emergency vehicles.

Directions by Car

Access is via Lottbridge Drove/A2290 and the A259 leading into Kingsmere Way, then turning onto Harold Drive and Horsa Close. It sits close to the major Asda superstore off Lottbridge Drove.

By Bus / Walking

There are regular local bus services that run along the main routes like Lottbridge Drove and the A259, from which Harold Drive is a short walk into the Kingsmere residental area and to Conqueror Hall.

Food & Drink

You are welcome to bring your own drinks and any small snacks to enjoy during the workshop. There are kitchen facilities available for making a hot beverage, refilling water bottles or serving fruit squash. There is also a tuck shop that might be opened especially for attendees at the end of the workshop (usual opening hours Fri-Sun, 4-6pm).

Parents / Adults

You are welcome to stay and support your child and watch the fun, but you are also welcome to drop off. If you plan to leave your child / children in my care for the duration of the workshop, please complete the contact details form on arrival before leaving the hall.
