A monthly drop-in evening to experience Family & Systemic Constellations in a warm, supportive group
Perhaps there is something in your life that feels stuck, a relationship you would like to understand differently, a decision you are struggling with, or simply a sense that something needs to change.
Or perhaps you are simply curious about constellations and would like to experience them for yourself.
You are very welcome.
Tuesday Constellations
The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, near Lewes, for approximately two hours.
There is a mixture of regular participants and people coming for the first time. You can attend as a one-off, come occasionally, or make the evenings part of your regular practice.
No previous experience of constellations is needed. You can come as an issue-holder, a representative or an observer. Each way of participating can offer its own insights and learning.
The group is intentionally small enough to create a supportive and held environment, while allowing the work to unfold naturally.
What are constellations?
Constellations offer a different way of looking at ourselves, our relationships and the wider systems of which we are part.
Sometimes we can know intellectually that something isn't working, but still feel unable to shift it. Constellations can offer another way of seeing what may be happening beneath the surface.
A constellation might explore a relationship with a partner or family member, something that feels stuck, recurring patterns, an important decision, experiences from the past, work or organisational issues, or something that is difficult to put into words.
You might come because you are
wanting a healthier relationship with a partner or family member
looking for clearer separation or disentanglement from someone important to you
struggling to say no or hold your own boundaries
seeking greater confidence or clarity around an important decision
wanting to move forward with work, a project or a creative venture
wanting to find peace with difficult experiences from the past
noticing patterns that seem to repeat in your family or relationships
feeling stuck and wanting to discover what might help you move forward
wanting to reconnect with yourself and what feels important to you
You don't need to have a perfectly defined issue. Sometimes simply noticing that something isn't quite right is enough.
What happens in the evening?
Usually, one person will bring an issue they would like to explore. They become the issue-holder.
The issue-holder is supported to create a physical representation of the important elements in their situation. Other participants may be invited to represent people, relationships, events, beliefs or other significant elements.
As the constellation unfolds, representatives share what they experience in their different positions. This can bring unexpected information and perspectives into view.
One of the distinctive aspects of constellation work is that representatives can sometimes experience thoughts, feelings or physical sensations that seem relevant to the person or situation they are representing, despite knowing very little about it.
There is no accepted scientific explanation for this phenomenon. For many people, however, the experience can be striking, surprising and deeply moving.
The constellation is not about forcing an answer or following a predetermined process. We pay attention to what emerges and explore what the system may need.
Sometimes this involves recognising something that has been overlooked, separating from a burden or responsibility that does not belong to you, or finding a different way of relating to someone or something important. Constellation work can provide an opportunity to rediscover parts of ourselves that may have become hidden or disconnected, and to reconnect with an inner sense of clarity, vitality and strength.
Each constellation finds its own path.
The experience can be freeing, with people often describing a greater sense of clarity, movement or lightness.
Sometimes a situation remains stuck. Even then, being able to see and experience that stuckness differently can itself create movement.
You don't need to bring your own issue
You can come to the evening without having a constellation yourself.
There are three ways of participating:
Issue-holder
You bring something from your own life that you would like to explore.
Representative
You are invited to represent someone or something within another person's constellation. You don't need to know anything about the situation beforehand.
Observer
You remain in the holding and witnessing circle, watching the work and experiencing what unfolds.
Representing and observing are not simply ways of helping somebody else. They can be deeply rewarding in their own right, offering opportunities for personal insight, learning and an experience of shared humanity.
I generally encourage people to attend at least once before bringing their own issue, so that you ca
