I am delighted to announce Curated x Jack Knox, an exhibition of paintings by one of Scotland's most celebrated artists, opening in Stockbridge next month. The Paintings Jack Knox (1936 – 2015) was known for his playful, vibrant and distinctly modern take on the everyday. This exhibition brings together thirteen of his paintings, from the 1960s to 2006. Expect red tulips against a sky-blue ground, a basket of eels, towering cakes, croissants beside a steaming coffee pot, and sunlit French scenes such as Chez Babette. Knox painted not just what he saw, but how it made him feel, and these are pictures that bring real joy to a room. The works range from small, intimate still lifes to major canvases over a metre wide, so there is something for every wall and every stage of collecting.
