Kayhan Ahura is an Iranian singer, musician, and composer based in Edinburgh. His musical journey is rooted in the rich traditions of Persian Traditional/classical music, with the Persian ney at the heart of his musical expression. With more than 25 years of performance experience, Kayhan brings together voice, ney, and other Persian instruments with his study of composition. He has performed in Iran, Athens, London, Yorkshire, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. His music explores the emotional depth, subtle melodies, and timeless beauty of Persian music, building a bridge between ancient traditions and contemporary sound.
