About This Event

Step inside Konishi Gaffney for a studio visit exploring their work, approach to architecture and the ideas behind their projects. Join Arcsoc and the Edinburgh Architectural Association for a visit to Konishi Gaffney Architects, an Edinburgh-based practice working across architecture, interiors and urbanism, with a strong focus on context, material and craft. The visit will give students the opportunity to step inside the Konishi Gaffney studio, hear about the practice’s approach to architecture and selected projects, and gain an insight into how ideas develop through the studio. There will also be an informal conversation and Q&A with the Konishi Gaffney team, with the opportunity to ask about projects, working in practice and life after university. Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the start of the visit (2:45pm) so that we can begin promptly at 3:00pm. This event is part of the Arcsoc × EAA Open Studio Visits programme, connecting University of Edinburgh architecture students with practices across Edinburgh and Glasgow.
