About This Event

Authentic, fun, traditional Scottish dance experience. A big ceilidh plus 45 minutes of Burns Night Celebrations. Live music and calling (dance instruction) from the band. Ticket includes a dram to toast the Bard. A baked dessert to replenish energy. £100 prize for the most popular party-piece performance. Fewer tickets means extra space for dancing. Licensed Bar. 2 hours, 45 minutes of high-energy ceilidh. At half time we celebrate Robert Burns with a Recitals Competition and an Immortal Memory toast. The ticket price includes the offer of a dram to join the toast** (it doesn’t have to be whisky) and a baked dessert. For a chance to win £100, brush up on a party piece and bring it along. If it has Burns theme, even better! If you want to be sure of the opportunity to compete, get in touch beforehand. Doors open at 7pm. Ceilidh starts 7.30pm, ends 11pm. Suitable for all fun-loving people, including first timers. Ceilidh isn't about perfection; it's about having fun trying. All ages and all abilities are welcome. We demonstrate, walk through and call dances to suit the overall crowd on the day - and there are always experienced dancers to follow. Come along in a group, come along with a partner, come along on your own: there are plenty of opportunities to meet and dance with other people. Please note tickets are on sale at the venue website https://assemblyroxy.com/ (https://assemblyroxy.com/) and at Eventbrite. These are separate ticket allocations. One source may sell out before the other. At Laldie Ceilidhs our aim is to curate the best possible ceilidh dance events. We like high-energy, we like dance variety, we work with the best bands and the best venues we know. We believe that the best ceilidhs come about when there is a mix of beginners and experienced dancers. We value the contribution made by active repeat ceilidh-goers with a discount on a limited number of adult tickets: returning customers are invited to contact us at hello@laldieceilidhs.co.uk for the promo code and to share it with one another. We often take photos and video at our events and we publish some images (including on social media and other websites) for general interest and for promotional purposes. If you object to being photographed please consult with us before you buy a ticket. **You will be asked to make your choice of a drink for the Immortal Memory at the door. To comply with Challenge 25 regulations, all ticket holders and their guests who are selecting an alcoholic drink option must provide a valid, government-issued photo ID upon request. Accepted forms of ID include a passport, driving licence, or any other official identification displaying a hologram. sign up to our mailing list (https://laldieceilidhs.co.uk/)
