**PLEASE BOOK** **via Ticketsource**: [www.ticketsource.com/portrait-club](www.ticketsource.com/portrait-club) An art community group in the heart of Edinburgh for anyone who would like to meet like-minded creative folk and practice drawing portraits of fellow group members from life in a cosy coffee shop. Each week, we will form small groups and have the chance to chat before starting a series of short-pose drawings. We will pick someone from each group to act as the first model, changing around every 2-10 minutes so that everyone has the chance to be the sitter (unless you would rather not, no pressure!). The event organiser, Lauren, is a portrait artist and art tutor, as well as a finalist of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2025. Although the sessions are untutored, she is more than happy to give advice or feedback on request. The aim of the group is to meet new people, practice drawing faces from life, and try new techniques or develop your own style. Everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities! (Some drawing materials will be available to share, but you should bring along your own. Only dry materials and small watercolour sets.) Any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to meeting you!
