About This Event

On 19 September 2026, a themed scavenger hunt takes place at Teviot Row House Student Union in Edinburgh where participants act as detectives searching for a kidnapped team mascot named SJ. The event invites teams to follow clues across the city while led by various performers. Entry is free, and the gathering runs from 17:30 onwards.

Oh no! Our team mascot, SJ, has been kidnapped! It is now up to you detectives to follow the clues across Edinburgh and find him!

Join us on this exciting themed scavenger hunt that will take you across central Edinburgh, and its wonderful views...after dusk! Yes, this spooky, detective Scavenger Hunt will have you chasing after the criminal who kidnapped our team mascot, SJ, while enjoying the sunset views from Edinburgh's prettiest viewpoints, as well as the sparkling lights of Edinburgh's underappreciated streets. Also expect a big prize for the winners!

Packed with adventure, story, and sillyness, this Scavenger Hunt will be an amazing way to bond with your teammates, through collaboration and investigation this Fresher's Week.
