About This Event

The Scottish Firefighter Challenge 2026 will be held at The Mound in Edinburgh on Saturday 26 September, with proceedings getting under way at 9am. Competitors drawn from fire services across Scotland and further afield will put their speed, strength and skill to the test through a series of physically gruelling obstacle-course rounds. The event is designed to highlight the exacting fitness standards demanded of frontline firefighters, with participants hauling hoses, carrying heavy equipment and climbing stairs against the clock. Spectators can watch the action unfold across the outdoor arena, with the day’s schedule comprising heats, a final and an awards ceremony. Tickets are available at a cost of £27.80.
