Join us for Sculpture Saturdays: Fair Play, a series of free drop-in workshops where visitors are invited to explore, imagine, make and build together.

Fair Play is a collaborative fairground world created by 124 pupils from Trinity and Victoria Primary Schools as part of Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop's Schools Programme. Bringing together 23 imagined parks and attractions, the exhibition is home to pickle portals, axolotl rides, astro dogs, football worlds, floating islands, gift shops staffed by carrots and even a meteor crashing into Marge Simpson.

Across three Sculpture Saturdays, visitors are invited to explore the exhibition before creating their own attractions, characters, signs and structures for Fair Play: Expansion, a growing companion installation inspired by the children's work.

Using recycled cardboard, wood off-cuts, paint and other reclaimed materials, you can design a ride, invent a mascot, build a monument, create a sign or imagine an entirely new park.

• Workshops are drop-in, but please sign up on Eventbrite to help us plan ahead

• All ages welcome

• Children and young people must be accompanied by an adult at all times

• Please book one ticket per group

• Workshops take place outdoors – please dress for the weather

• Seating is available

• The courtyard has step-free access and an accessible toilet nearby with baby-changing facilities

• The event can be busy and noisy, but there is plenty of space to work close to or separately from others if you would prefer a quieter spot

• Free to attend – donations are welcome on the day
