About This Event

Join us at Summerhall on Wednesday 16th September 2026 for an evening of conversation, connection and creative ageing. At 5pm, choreographer and performer Christine Thynne (https://www.madeinscotlandshowcase.com/shows/these-mechanisms-by-christine-thynne-robbie-synge/)will share her inspiring journey from taking up dance after retiring from her first career, to receiving a Luminate bursary and collaborating on a performance that has toured across Scotland and internationally. Arrive from 4.30pm to enjoy a complimentary drink, catch up with familiar faces and meet new people. There will be plenty of time to chat before and after Christine's talk, and a private bar will be available if you'd like to purchase additional refreshments. This informal event is open to anyone involved in creative ageing, including artists, creatives, performers, staff from cultural, community and care organisations, and others supporting creativity in later life. Venue: Library Gallery, Summerhall, 1 Summerhall, Edinburgh EH9 1PL Time: 4.30pm to 7.00pm Talk by Christine Thynne: 5 - 5.30pm (approx.) The venue is wheelchair accessible.
