Join Marta at Fabode Ceramics for a relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop where you'll design and make your very own personalised ceramic sharing platter. Whether you love entertaining friends, enjoy handmade homeware, or simply fancy trying something creative, this workshop is a lovely opportunity to slow down, get your hands into clay and make something truly unique. What will you make? Using the slab-building and coiling technique, you'll create a ceramic sharing platter designed around your own ideas. Your platter can include separate sections for snacks, little bowls for dips, olives or nuts, or a combination of shapes and compartments. Once you've built your piece, the fun continues with personalisation! Add names, favourite words, illustrations, stamped patterns or textures to make your platter completely your own. You might choose a playful design for family movie nights, a beautiful serving dish for gatherings with friends, or a thoughtful handmade gift for someone special. What to expect: Marta will guide you through every stage of the making process. The workshop takes place in a small, friendly studio with a maximum of eight participants, allowing plenty of time for individual guidance. No previous pottery experience is needed. Whether it's your first time working with clay or you've already caught the pottery bug, everyone is welcome. What happens afterwards? Your platter will stay at the studio to dry and undergo its first kiln firing. You’ll then return for a separately booked decorating session, where you can add colours and illustrations to bring your design to life. After decorating, Marta can apply a transparent glaze before the final firing. You’ll be contacted once your finished platter is ready for collection.
