About This Event

Formed in Dundalk, County Louth, by brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy, The Mary Wallopers initially built a massive cult following during the 2020 lockdowns by live-streaming rowdy, chaotic gigs from their home. Originally a three-piece, the touring band has since expanded into a powerful multi-instrumental ensemble. Following the critical success of their 2023 album Irish Rock 'N' Roll and a packed performance at Glastonbury, the group has become famous for breathing fierce, 21st-century punk energy into traditional Irish ballads. They are known for a raucous, irreverent live show that combines political sharp-wittedness with working-class storytelling. The upcoming tour celebrates their highly anticipated third studio album, Paddywhackery, which is set for release on 18 September 2026.
