Visual Arts Scotland (VAS) returns to Dalkeith Palace for a third year with The Space Between: The Whole and the Hole, an exhibition exploring the enduring powers of holes as sculptural devices, alongside a celebration of the transformative alchemy of ceramics. This FREE, open-to-all exhibition takes place from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 October at Dalkeith Palace. Presented by Visual Arts Scotland (VAS), The Whole and The Hole showcases moving image works exploring the creative possibilities of absence, space, and transformation. Inspired by the artistic concept of the hole as both void and form, the exhibition invites visitors to consider new ways of seeing, feeling and imagining. Alongside it, Earth, Fire, Form celebrates the transformative alchemy of ceramics, from raw clay drawn from the earth to fired works shaped by heat, time and human imagination.
