About This Event

On 8 April 2027, Trinity House Family Tours will be offering a unique opportunity in Edinburgh to explore the rich maritime history of Leith. Suitable for all age groups, this tour at Trinity House includes an exploration of its historic interior and interaction with interesting maritime artifacts. Both children and adults can engage in activity trails where they have the chance to handle objects used at sea, making for an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Admission costs £4.50 to £7.50 per person, providing a cost-effective way to delve into the area's nautical heritage.

Explore the historic interior of Trinity House, once the base of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, and discover its maritime treasures. Visitors can learn about the animals sailors encountered on their travels, take part in an activity trail, and handle objects used at sea.

The tour includes disabled access to the ground floor only. The house’s 16th century vaults are down steep stairs. Trinity House is located at the Kirkgate at the Foot of Leith Walk, with several Lothian Buses services and Edinburgh Trams stopping nearby.
