About This Event

Join us every Tuesday evening at 18:15 for a collaborative, social run starting at the corner of Bruntsfield Place and Bruntsfield Terrace - just by the Links. (See the map for exact location, we meet near the police box coffee stand/ public toilets) Each week we head out on a run of between 6 and 10km. Routes vary and include a mix of roads, trails, hills and flats. Some routes are through the city and some are more suburban. These runs usually take place at a fairly accessible speed (6:00 - 6:30m/km), though there's no structured pace, and are more about social connection and wellbeing than they are about achieving a personal best. While this is a very inclusive group, a reasonable level of fitness is required and participants are responsible for their own fitness. Jill who usually suggests our routes is a Jog Scotland run leader. It is important that you register with Jog Scotland here: https://jogscotland.org.uk/joggers/join-jogscotland/ before coming along to this group. (This is free to do). Please sign up on Meet Up if you are planning to come. We usually have 10-15 people each Tuesday, so don't be put off if it looks as though not many people are signed up. All runners attending these events are running entirely at their own risk. Please do carry a phone and emergency contact details with you if you come along. You'll see that we are called 'SOCIAL' Group Running - and that's what we are about - it is free to come along and we don't provide coaching. Hopefully see you there soon!
