The art of repair made beautiful! Learn how to repair textiles in a mindful and creative way.

Learn how to use simple stitches to repair, strengthen and celebrate the clothes you love. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of sashiko, this workshop explored how worn and damaged textiles can be transformed into something unique, extending their life while adding a personal touch.

Led by visible mending artist Natalie Arnold, you'll learn basic techniques in a relaxed and welcoming space. Feel free to bring your own clothes that need repairing, but don't worry if you don't have any yet - all materials will be provided.

This is an exciting chance to try out the new Craft Hub at The Pitt market, where there is also a food court, a bar and a sauna, plus a delightful view across the Firth of Forth.
