The Winter Wellbeing Fest is scheduled for 6 December 2026 at Duncan Place Community Hub in Edinburgh. This event aims to provide wellbeing activities and tips for the LGBTQ+ community and allies, focusing on crafts to boost wellbeing. It will include various activities, social spaces, and a raffle.
Bringing queer joy to lighten the dark winter days, this day is packed with wellbeing activities and tips for our LGBTQ+ community & allies.
Winter Wellbeing for our LGBTQ+ community
Join us for a heartwarming day of wellbeing, fun and connection. Unwind and relax with us, or just soak up the good vibes! This year, we will be focussing on crafts as a tool to boost wellbeing and reduce stress and anxiety. We'll have stalls with tasters, drinks and snacks, social spaces and some activities you can drop in on or sign up for on the day (including badge-making, a make-up workshop, board/card games, a Tool Library (Tool%20Library) stall, a kid's corner and more!) There’ll also be a raffle with some exciting prizes!
Who we welcome
This event is for anyone LGBTQ+ in Edinburgh (or visiting) and their families (all ages welcome) partners and friends to come together.
We celebrate the full diversity of our community including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people, and everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
You're also welcome if you're questioning or exploring your sexual orientation or gender identity, or if you don’t use labels at all.
What to expect:
A trans inclusive and affirmative space
A space where you are queer enough and allies are welcome to support in solidarity
All ages welcome
Room to roam (across 4 different rooms), with volunteers and staff to provide a welcome and info throughout
Have a warming cuppa throughout the event
Safer space to connect and have fun, including quieter space if you need it
A range of activities and tasters to nurture ourselves and our community!
Registration
Spaces are limited, so please register in advance.
Register using the Eventbrite form. If you're coming as a group, please make sure to register each person in the group using their name (including children). Once you’ve registered, you’ll get a confirmation email.
If you have any questions or need help, you can contact the event organiser Ness at ness@lgbthealth.org.uk, or phone our admin number 0131 564 3970 and leave a message for Ness.
If your plans change and you can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to someone else. You can cancel your space on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/help/en-gb/articles/575010/how-to-cancel-your-free-registration/) or by getting in touch with Ness.

Safer spaces
Together we take a zero tolerance approach when creating safer spaces for our community. This means we won't tolerate racism, bi+phobia, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, ageism, ableism or any form of discrimination.
All LGBT Health and Wellbeing's events are delivered under a safer spaces commitment that we ask everyone to follow (this includes attendees, our staff and volunteers). Read our guidelines and commitment before joining the event. (https://lgbthealth.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Safer-Space-Commitment.pdf)
Are tickets free?
Whilst we do not want cost to be a barrier to attending, we ask that when you book on Eventbrite, you make a donation of £5 per person if you are able.
If you’re not able to donate, we don’t want that to stop you joining us – please do select the option for free tickets if you’re not able to donate.
If you feel you can, you are also welcome to ‘pay it forward’ and donate a little more, to cover the cost of a ticket for someone in our community who isn't able to donate right now.
Why do you ask for a donation?
Donations help us cover costs for this event and ensure we can do more like this in the future. Every pound donated goes a long way in helping us create spaces where LGBTQ+ people can find connection and support, and live happier, healthier lives.
