The weekends are structured to provide an opportunity to find out more about life in a community, what being a part of such a space could look like, the type of work involved, how we make decisions, manage our finances, and select new members. Its also a chance for us to get to know you a little bit, and you us!

TIMING

The weekends run from early on Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime.

ACTIVITIES

Friday evening is usually a time for settling in, along with a communal welcome dinner. Visitors are asked to join us for a workday on Saturday, which usually involves gardening or maintenance work. On Sunday morning we have an open, relaxed Q and A about Beech Hill and community life more generally.

FOOD

The following meals are included:

Friday: Supper

Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch & Supper

Sunday: Breakfast & Lunch

We have a shared vegetarian/vegan meal on the Friday evening, and Saturday lunchtime and evening. Other dietary requirements including gluten-free and vegan can be catered for. Visitors prepare their own breakfast and Sunday lunch, although all ingredients are provided.

BEDDING

Visitors are asked to bring their own sleeping bags or duvets and towels. We provide blankets and pillows. If duvet covers and pillowcases etc are required, there is a charge of £3 per person for the weekend to cover laundry. Please bring cash to cover this.

COST

We ask for a donation to Beech Hill as follows:

£65 per person 15 years old and over

£30 for a young person 6 years to 14 years old

Children 5 years old and younger are FREE

HOW TO BOOK

ADULTS (15 years old and over) with NO people under 15 years old

If you are booking for one or more people 15 years old and over please select the Adult Donations Ticket. You will be asked for information for each person you are booking for.

FAMILIES

If you are booking for adults AND young people 14 years to 6 years old please book the Adults using the Adults Donation Tickets and then the Young people 14 years to 6 years using the Young Persons Donation Ticket.

COVID

Please do not come if you have flu-like symptoms.

AVAILABILITY

We are limited in numbers so if you cannot book for the numbers you require please try another weekend date as shown on this site.

CANCELLATION POLICY

More than 4 weeks before the weekend: full refund

4 to 2 weeks before the weekend: 50% refund

Less than 2 weeks before the weekend: No refund
