The Deer Walk will run on 11 October at Castle Drogo, Exeter. Admission is required for the event, which involves a walk to see and hear deer with Sharif Adams and the ranger team. Castle Drogo is a National Trust property.
This Autumn, join the ranger team and local Deer expert and Chair of the SW British Deer Society, Sharif Adams, for a walk to see and hear some of the Teign Gorges resident deer. The walk starts in the car park at Castle Drogo and will head out onto the estate. It’s an early start so make sure you’re equipped for changeable weather and bring a small torch. The walk includes proximity to steep drops and includes woodland walking and some steep and slippery sections.
With a bit of luck, you might be able to spot Fallow and Roe deer. There is also the possibility of seeing many other species that call the gorge home.
Children are welcome on the walk, but it may be challenging particularly for young children.
Dogs are not permitted on this walk.
Event subject to cancellation in event of high winds or poor weather.
