Join us on Tuesday 6 October from 9.30 at Coldharbour Farmshop and Field Kitchen (https://coldharbourfarmshop.co.uk/) (please note the venue change) for the East Devon Tourism Network's Q3 event, Weathering the change - preparing your business for an evolving climate, where we'll explore practical ways to prepare your business for a changing climate, and why that matters now. It's easy to think of climate change as just an environmental concern - yet it's also a business one. From transport infrastructure strain affecting visitor access in summer and winter, to supply chain pressures facing pubs, restaurants, and agriculture-adjacent businesses, the impacts can already be seen across East Devon's tourism and hospitality sector. If the prolonged heatwave this summer taught us anything, it's that we need to move beyond compliance and abstract targets, towards practical tools to identify what matters most to your business - and leave with clear priorities to put into action. Fraser Browning | Kurb Carbon, Exeter (https://www.linkedin.com/in/fraser-browning-7a2282104/) Fraser founded Kurb Carbon in 2025 to find new ways of sharing sustainability knowledge with those who need it, helping businesses embed sustainable best practice into their organisations. With a decade of experience spanning compliance, consultancy, carbon accounting, and strategy across sectors including hospitality, construction, social housing, and manufacturing, Fraser brings practical ideas rooted in what businesses actually need. In this interactive workshop, Fraser will guide attendees through identifying the climate-related impacts most relevant to their business, drawing on examples from leading brands who have taken a proactive approach to a changing climate. You'll also see a live demonstration of an Event Carbon Calculator, measuring the footprint of the event in real time using attendees' own devices. Following the workshop We’ll be asking ‘How was summer for you?’ and share insights from across Devon’s tourism businesses with statistics provided from T-Stats (https://t-stats.co.uk/) and Devon’s Top Attractions (https://www.devonstopattractions.co.uk/). Don’t forget to also bring your questions and discussion topics for our Any Other Business section to share with the group. Parking Plentiful parking is available on site. Accessibility Parking – there is plentiful parking with dedicated accessible parking bays. Access to the Field Kitchen is via a gently sloping ramp on to decking with a large doorway, suitable for elderly, disabled and wheelchair-bound customers. The interior floor is level. The dedicated accessible toilet is easily accessed and spacious. The toilet has colour coded accessories to aid partially sighted customers. Please note that access to the Farm Shop is up 4 wooden steps from the car-park.
