Heritage Open Days: Killerton House and Gardens

About This Event

Killerton House and Gardens will be taking part in the Heritage Open Days Festival on Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September. Entry is for free for all visitors. Head to Visitor Reception for entry ticket. Killerton's hillside garden is known for its exotic collection of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and tender ornamentals. Marvel at the enormous leaves and mysteriously shaped seed pods of the Magnolia. Find the seeds of a giant redwood. Take shade under the majestic Luccombe Oaks. Discover the picturesque gems of the Lady Cott (Bear's hut) and the rock garden and enjoy views to a distant Dartmoor. Want to stretch those legs? Enjoy views from volcanic outcrops, and the smells of Autumn woodland. Admire the architecture of Killerton's Grade I listed Chapel and discover the earthworks of an Iron-Age hillfort.
