About This Event

Following expert conservation to preserve the fragile silk lining, the silk jacket worn by Agatha Christie's mother Clarissa and kept as a special heirloom by Agatha, is on display for the very first time. Pictured in a photograph of Clarissa from the 1920s that hangs in the Winter Dining Room, it's a rare chance to get up close and discover the meanings behind the motifs of a very special item in the collection at Greenway. The silk jacket will be on display upstairs in the Dressing Room of Agatha's bedroom, until 1 November 2026. If visiting Greenway be car, you will need to book a parking space in advance through the website.
