It is empowering to learn to darn a favourite jumper or socks and mend clothes, so that you don’t have to go out and buy new ones just yet. The practice of “healing” old garments is the spirit of sustainability and responsibility, turning a broken object into a treasured item. There’s life in the old knickers yet.
