Time for our first coach walk of the year! Welcome, everyone, to the Mendip Hills. We will be hiking around the incredible Cheddar Gorge, promising unforgettable views of Somerset and hopefully some mountain goats! And, of course, the chance to buy some Cheddar cheese from the town of its namesake.

We strongly advise suitable footwear, ideally hiking boots. Ankle protection is recommended!

Walk A: Shipham to Cheddar Gorge

8 miles/13km

Walk B: Cheddar Gorge Circular

6.5 miles/10.5km

• Length: Moderate

• Elevation: Hard

• Terrain: Hard

Timings:

Walks A and B:

Meet us at the following coach pickup points:

• Outside Exeter St Davids: 8:50am

• Lafrowda Cottage: 8:55am

• Cheeke Street Stop 39: 9:00am

The coach will depart each stop 10mins after the above times. Do not be late, the coach won't wait!

Transport:

Return coach travel is included in the price of your ticket!

Guidance:

Please bring suitable footwear as above. OODS reserves the right to reject attendees wearing unsuitable footwear. Please also bring waterproofs - weather can be unpredictable, and we don't have many emergency ponchos!

Bring lots of snacks and a packed lunch, as well as plenty of water!
