A free, informal workshop to help community groups navigate the City Grant application process with confidence

Exeter City Council are delighted to invite you to our informal, in-person Community Grant Workshop, specifically focusing on our Exeter City Grant funding programme (https://exeter.gov.uk/people-and-communities/grants/exeter-grants-programme/exeter-city-grants/).

Our Exeter City Grant programme aims to support groups and organisations to help run events, festivals and projects that encourage community participation across Exeter. The programme offers those interested the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to £2,500.

We understand that applying for a grant can be daunting for groups/organisations however experienced they might be. Because of that, we want to offer a space to help make the process easier.

✅This free workshop will;

Explain the City Grant application process

Explore what makes a strong application

Demystify topics that can feel daunting, including match funding, project budgets, evidence of community support and working with an umbrella organisation

Provide time for attendees to work on their application

Answer any questions about the process

Help us understand how we can support potential applicants to feel more confident in applying

A past applicant of our City grant who was previously unsuccessful

A past recipient of our City grant who just wants to learn more
