About This Event

An introductory session for Forest Bathing will occur at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on 22 October 2026. This session focuses on sensory engagement with nature to promote wellbeing, and participation is free.

A slow stroll through the woods focusing on sensory engagement and connecting with nature to de-stress and boost wellbeing.

***Meeting point is Gravel Hill Car Park for all sessions***

A woodland wellbeing forest bathing session normally lasts for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Expect a mindful, slow paced stroll immersed in the natural environment. We will be moving at approximately 2-3 miles an hour. The session will be led by Kate from Woodland Wellbeing (https://www.woodlandwell-being.co.uk/), a Shirin-Yoku (forest bathing) practitioner. She will invite participants to join in activities developed to help engage all their senses in the Shinrin-Yoku experience there will also be the opportunity for quiet reflection. As the session draws to a close participants will pause for a restorative tea and to share their experiences of time spent together in nature.

What you need to know

The experience will last around 2 hours.

We will meet at Gravel Hill Car Park. Please note the only toilet facilities are at the Visitor Centre.

You may want to bring a small backpack containing a water bottle, extra layer, waterproof or sun cream and hat. As we head into Autumn and Winter we expect the sessions to go ahead in all but the worst of weather so extra layers and waterproofs are essential.

We recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or boots but strong trainers or wellies will do for most of the trails we will use.

There are limited spaces so please make sure to book and remember to cancel your space if you can no longer attend.

Parking charges apply at all times.
