Your Learning Pathway Begins Here… Discover Courses, Apprenticeships & Supports at the GRETB FET Open Day Galway

GRETB Open Day - Further Education and Training (FET) is back for its second year, giving people the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of education, training and upskilling options available across Galway and Roscommon.

Whether you are leaving school, a parent, looking to return to education, seeking new skills, learning English (ESOL), exploring career opportunities, or an employer interested in workforce development, this free event is for you.

Visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about the wide range of learning and training opportunities available through GRETB Further Education and Training, including Full-Time Learning, Part-Time and Flexible Learning, and Informal Community Learning. Whether you are looking to progress to employment, an apprenticeship, further or higher education, gain new skills while balancing other commitments, or pursue personal development and lifelong learning within your community, there will be options to suit your needs.

Staff will also be available to provide information on the financial supports that may be available and help determine eligibility.

Throughout the day, attendees can meet learners, staff and employers at interactive information stands, attend main stage discussions and presentations, and take part in demonstrations showcasing the wide range of opportunities available through GRETB.

The Galway event will run from 9am to 3pm at the Salthill Hotel, with a dedicated sensory hour from 2pm to 3pm to provide a calmer, more relaxed environment for those who may benefit from it. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet members of the GRETB recruitment team to explore career and employment opportunities within the organisation.

Dedicated information points and staff will be available throughout the day to answer questions, provide guidance and help visitors connect with local learning and support services. If you are interested in Youth and Arts or Community Education initiatives, staff will be on hand to provide information on programmes and opportunities available in your area.

Whether you are looking to learn new skills, make a fresh start, progress your career, support someone on their learning journey, or simply find out what opportunities are available in your area, GRETB Open Day is an opportunity to discover what's possible through lifelong learning.
