A very special whiskey tasting to raise a glass to winning Gold, Sonny's 100th Birthday and launch Midleton Very Rare Chestnut Edition!

To celebrate our Gold Win as Irish Whiskey Bar of the Year, you’re invited to a very special whiskey tasting as we raise a glass to our award and celebrate what would have been Sonny Molloy’s 100th birthday.

Join us as we honour our namesake, Sonny Molloy, and raise a glass to his life & legacy with local historian Tom Kenny.

Hosted by Andrew Dickey, Irish Distillers Brand Engagement & Advocacy Team Manager & Distiller Eric Ryan, the evening begins at 7:30pm on Tuesday, November 10th, with welcome drinks on arrival.

Enjoy an interactive tasting of the highly anticipated new Midleton Very Rare Irish Chestnut Edition, alongside Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2026, Redbreast 19 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Single Cask, trust us, you won't want to miss it. Sharing platters of food will be served, with giveaways, great company, and plenty of whiskey chat throughout the evening.

Early booking is strongly advised, as this event is highly anticipated.

Often regarded as “The Home of Midleton in the West of Ireland,” Sonny Molloy’s has been fortunate to host many of the iconic Midleton Very Rare releases over the years. We’re also proud to be one of the few bars in the world to display the complete Midleton Very Rare collection.

We look forward to welcoming you for a memorable evening celebrating Sonny’s legacy, our award-winning bar, and the very best of Irish whiskey. Sláinte!
