About This Event

In a remarkable event, Glasgow’s Blackfriars of Bell Street will host an advanced comedy class led by renowned performer Viv Gee from September 1st to October 23rd. The workshop promises six weeks of intensive training culminating in both private and public performances that delve into the intricate art of live theatre, offering aspiring comedians a unique platform to hone their craft under expert guidance.

The 6 week advance comedy class is for those who have already performed stand-up comedy or those with more experience who want to brush their skills in a group setting.

The course will take place in Blackfriars and cover in-depth writing exercises, compering skills, heckling technique, creating a comedy character and performance technique.

On Tuesday October 13th, the course will culminate in a live performance also at Blackfriars, the original home of Glasgow comedy.

All proceeds of the gig will go to Ayrshire Drone Dog Rescue. A charity who work tirelessly and voluntarily to reunite families with their lost dogs far and wide.
