This meetup is open to complete beginners or novices to try indoor climbing. You'll get a chance to climb and be belayed by a competent climber. This session runs from 7PM to 9PM. The centre is open until 10pm. Please meet at the reception at the entrance at 7PM to get signed in. Please don't be late. At the moment, there are only 2 spaces. However this may change and it is always worth joining the waiting list as other organisers may sign up. We'll be at the Glasgow Climbing Centre on Paisley Road West. For anyone who's not visited before, you'll find directions on their website here (http://www.glasgowclimbingcentre.com/contact_us/directions.php). A virtual tour of the main climbing area can be found here (http://www.pikodesign.com/tour/gcc/). Photos of a previous trip can also be viewed here (http://www.meetup.com/scottish-hillwalkers/photos/750662/). As well as the main area, there are also several bouldering areas, an additional top roping area and a training room. Please only RSVP if you are intending to come. If you change your mind please say so to allow someone else to have a shot - if you are at the top of the waiting list please check close to the event time to see if there is a late drop out. Equipment may be hired from the climbing centre as a harness and climbing shoes are required.
