We'll be planting beautiful spring-flowering bulbs along the entrance path, helping to brighten up the space for local people and create a welcoming haven for butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Families will have the chance to learn about nature, help local wildlife and create something that the whole community can enjoy when spring arrives. Please note this session is outside. What families will do: • Plant spring-flowering bulbs along the entrance path • Learn about butterflies, bees and other pollinators • Help create a more colourful and welcoming community space • Learn about the importance of supporting wildlife • Make a lasting difference to the local area The volunteering impact: The bulbs your family plants will provide valuable early-season food for butterflies, bees and other pollinators – vital for their survival as they emerge in spring. Your family's efforts will also help create a more colourful, welcoming space for the whole community to enjoy. It's a simple, hands-on way to support local wildlife and make a lasting difference to your local area. No experience needed – just enthusiasm, sturdy shoes, and a willingness to get your hands dirty. All materials and tools will be provided, including kid-friendly shovels, gloves, and high-vis vests. Age suitability: Children of all ages are welcome. The activity is best suited to children aged 3 and over. Younger ones are welcome in slings or buggies.
