Frostfyr, a brand new festival celebrating Christmas with affordability at its heart, comes to Glasgow's Finnieston from 26th November to 23rd December. Its heated Spiegeltent, Mirage, will host more than 40 ticketed events, including Drag Queen Power Ballads, The Big Christmas Show and Susie McCabe & Friends, alongside children’s shows, Santa visits, festive rides, local craft stalls, street food and a Festival Bar. The brand new Frostfyr Festival is bringing Christmas entertainment, food and festive shopping to Glasgow’s Finnieston this winter, with affordability at the heart of a programme designed for families and friends to enjoy together. Drag Queen Power Ballads, The Big Christmas Show and Susie McCabe & Friends join a programme of over 40 ticketed events, alongside family entertainment, festive shopping and local food. Combining live shows with traditional Christmas attractions, the festival will offer affordable events for all the family, opportunities for children to meet Santa, rides and a marketplace showcasing local craft vendors. At the heart of Frostfyr is Mirage, the festival’s heated Spiegeltent, which will host more than 40 ticketed events throughout the season, giving audiences a warm, welcoming setting to enjoy a festive show. Programme highlights include Drag Queen Power Ballads, The Big Christmas Show from Edinburgh Fringe sell-out team Insane Magic, along with Susie McCabe & Friends. Families can also look forward to a range of shows for children of all ages, including a KPOP Trio tribute show, Superhero Extravaganza, Ms R & Friends, Pop Princesses and a special Panto from Wicked Entertainment, with much more across the festival calendar. The seated Festival Bar will have its own programme of entertainment, including karaoke, live musicians and quiz nights. Whether visitors fancy taking the microphone, putting their knowledge to the test or catching up with friends over a drink, the bar will provide a place to settle in and enjoy the celebrations. For younger visitors, dedicated meet Santa events will bring an extra helping of Christmas excitement, while the Avalanche & Tea Cups rides will add to the festival atmosphere. Shoppers can browse local craft stalls to stock up on Christmas presents, discovering gifts from independent makers and supporting local businesses along the way. Food will also be a major part of the experience, with vendors including Pizza B Goode and The Crumbleologist serving up plenty to tempt visitors between shows, shopping and festive activities.
