Grouper is the solo ambient and experimental music project of American musician, artist, and producer Liz Harris, based in Oregon. Active since 2005, she creates dreamlike soundscapes built from tape loops, delicate vocals, field recordings, and minimal guitar or piano. She gained critical acclaim with her 2008 breakthrough album Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill and has since released celebrated projects including A I A, Ruins, and Shade. Joanne Robertson is a Scottish musician, painter, and poet now based in Glasgow. Known for her intimate, improvised folk-pop acoustic recordings (such as The Lighter and Blue Car), she frequently collaborates with artists like Dean Blunt. Her music pairs raw, diary-like songwriting with delicate, ethereal vocal arrangements.
