Calling all little witches, wizards and magical helpers! We're heading to Wyndford Locks Care Home for a very special pre-Halloween party with the residents. We will also be joined by the wizards from Wish Upon a Star Kingdom who are coming along to help us create some magic! Children and residents will team up to create magical spells and potions and decorate their very own wands to take part in the fun. It's all about bringing generations together for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, friendship and a little bit of Halloween magic in the lead up to the spooky season. Fancy dress costumes are very welcome although not required! What families will do: • Take part in Halloween magic, creating spells and potions with residents • Make and decorate your own magic wand • Team up with residents for a fun, intergenerational activity • Use your wands during the party • Enjoy a relaxed, magical afternoon together The volunteering impact: For care home residents, an afternoon of Halloween magic with children brings joy, reduces loneliness, and creates wonderful intergenerational connections. Your family's presence brightens their day and creates lasting memories. It's a simple but powerful way to give back, share smiles, and celebrate together. The magic wands you create will be used during the party, adding to the fun and excitement for everyone. No experience needed – just enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to have fun! All materials for the magic wands will be provided. The activities will be led at a relaxed pace for everyone to take part. Age suitability: Recommended for children aged 3 and over. Babies and toddlers are very welcome.
