Helensburgh Parish Church in Glasgow is set to host a restorative yoga workshop named Harvest on Saturday, 15 August, commencing at 2:30pm. This special afternoon promises a tranquil experience, dedicated to fostering deep rest and encouraging a greater connection with the changing seasons. Attendees can anticipate an approach to yoga that prioritises gentle movement, carefully sequenced to help release physical and mental tension. Following this, participants will be guided into supportive poses, held for longer durations with the aid of props, all designed to promote profound relaxation and rejuvenation. It's an opportunity to unwind and recharge, embracing a mindful pause amidst the busyness of life. Further information regarding attendance fees can be found on the church's official website.
Join me for a nourishing afternoon of deep rest, seasonal awareness and group connection. Late summer invites us to reflect on the fruits of our labours and celebrate what has been created and who we are becoming. It's a time to restore our energy and create space for the onward journey towards autumn. We'll begin with gentle, grounding movement to release tension, then settle into supportive Restorative Yoga poses, followed by a deeply restful Yoga Nidra guided meditation. Expect floor-based, fully supported postures, stillness, breath awareness and time to just be. What’s to expect? • A gentle welcome with tea and togetherness • Space to focus inward • Gentle movement to settle • Supportive Restorative Yoga with plenty of props • A closing Yoga Nidra guided relaxation Come as you are. This workshop is suitable for all levels and anyone in need of rest, reflection and reconnection. Booking is essential. What my previous workshop participants say: “Kerry has a rare gift for holding space and helping groups connect. I left feeling both grounded and seen." "I was curled up tight at the beginning of the session and by the end I was relaxing into openness" "Kerry's yoga is very holistic and I learn something new every time" I look forward to seeing you there. Please note that we are in the hall in Helensburgh Parish Church on Colquhoun Street.
