Formed in 2000 in East Tennessee, Hayseed Dixie are the undisputed pioneers of Rockgrass, a genre-bending fusion of hard rock and traditional bluegrass. The band first gained global notoriety with their 2001 debut, A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC, which reimagined classic riffs with banjos, fiddles, and mandolins. Led by frontman John Wheeler (aka Barley Scotch), the group has since released over 15 studio albums, including original satirical tracks and covers ranging from Motörhead to Outkast. Having performed over 1,500 shows across more than 30 countries, they hold a particularly strong connection with Scottish audiences, even recording a live album in Glasgow. Their current lineup features John Wheeler, Hippy Joe Hymas, Jake "Bakesnake" Byers, and Tim Carter.
