Indoor bouldering sessions will take place at The Climbing Academy in Glasgow on 4 November 2026 at 18:15. The event aims to create a welcoming environment for climbers of all skill levels to socialise and enjoy bouldering. Capacity management will be in effect, and attendees may need to queue if the venue reaches capacity.
GENERAL INFO --- Bouldering is a sport for people of all shapes, sizes, strengths and genders, whether you want to come along to socialise, get strong, or just try something a bit outside of your comfort zone. The goal of this event is to provide a fun, social environment for people to come and boulder on a regular basis. We have people from many different countries, backgrounds and skill levels so there will be a place for everyone, and we try to be as welcoming as possible to all newcomers. \*\* PLEASE NOTE \*\* TCA The Newsroom is now operating capacity management. If it hits capacity, they will operate a one in one out process: you may have to queue. To check the capacity at any time, click on the following link. https://bit.ly/Newsroom_Cap For more information about The Newsroom check out the website. https://www.theclimbingacademy.com/locations/the-newsroom/ FIRST TIMERS --- For first timers to the event, you should expect to be met by the night host and be given a reasonable introduction to other group members who are attending. Please keep in mind that this is only possible if your profile is a clear photo of your face. If we can't recognise you then it is your responsibility to find us, as we will not waste time trying to find someone who looks like a bowl of fruit or a sunflower. If you are completely new to climbing the host (or other group member) will join you out on the mats and give you a brief rundown of the basics. However keep in mind that we are not responsible for your safety under any circumstances, and that the introductory video provided by TCA will give you all the info you need. Of course if you have any questions please ask away, every single one of our regulars are more than happy to help despite how grumpy/tired they may look at the time. What you should NOT expect is to be accompanied by the host the whole night, or "lessons" from existing members. Be aware that hosts are volunteers, and are still coming along to the night to climb thems
