We'll be showing the classic 1983 Scottish film Local Hero in the beautiful surrounds of the Couper Institute's Grand Hall, with cinema equipment generously sponsored by Cala Homes.
Legendary Scottish film director Bill Forsyth created this classic comedy-drama, with an all-star cast including Burt Lancaster, Denis Lawson and Peter Capaldi, with music by Mark Knopler of Dire Straits.
Scotland has never fallen out of love with this sweetly comic film, which the BFI rates as among the top 100 British films of last century.
