Formed in 2023 in Columbia, Missouri, Locked Shut is an American hardcore punk band that has quickly made waves in the underground music scene. The project is fronted by Alex Kelly, an artist already well-known for his successful solo career under the moniker Oliver Francis. Moving away from his usual solo style, Kelly launched Locked Shut to channel a heavier, melodic hardcore sound. Following their initial Demo 23 EP, the band solidified their reputation in the alternative community with the release of their 2024 debut studio album, The New Chaos, featuring fan-favourite tracks like "Steel Spine" and "Me vs. a Brick Wall".
