The Pop Mutations x Tiny Changes festival will bring a mix of ten acts to four of Glasgow's grassroots venues on 13-14 November 2026. The event will feature a variety of music at various locations in Glasgow. Tickets cost £15.
Pop Mutations x Tiny Changes will take over four of Glasgow's most cherished grassroots venues on 13-14 November 2026, bringing together a mix of ten acclaimed, high-profile artists alongside some of the most exciting emerging talent for a weekend that places connection at the heart of the live music experience. Created by not-for-profit promoter Pop Mutations, the thoughtfully curated, intentionally intimate festival celebrates the venues, artists and audiences that continue to shape Scotland's music scene, while placing an emphasis on positive mental health and wellbeing. Taking place across The Old Hairdressers, Mono, The Glad Café and Stereo, the festival presents rare and up-close performances from established artists including Kathryn Joseph, Rozi Plain, The Pastels and Billy Nomates, alongside Kathryn Williams, Malcolm Middleton, HMS Morris, Comber and Bikini Body. With venue capacities ranging from just 110 to 300 people, each show is designed to capture the immediacy and atmosphere that only grassroots venues can provide. Beyond the music, Pop Mutations x Tiny Changes continues to build on its vision of a more thoughtful festival experience. Saturday afternoon will see Re-Charge take place at The Old Hairdressers, a relaxed wellbeing session hosted by coach, presenter, DJ and marketing consultant Aarti Joshi. Re-Charge will feature artist conversations, a guided breathing workshop with Frances McKee, and discussions exploring creativity, touring, avoiding burnout and navigating the music industry as a woman. All profits from the festival will be donated to Tiny Changes, and the event is committed to supporting the Scottish music community. At a time when grassroots venues continue to face significant financial pressure, Pop Mutations x Tiny Changes exists to celebrate the spaces where artists are encouraged to develop, audiences discover new music, and local scenes are built. The ethos of the festival is gender equality, with three of this year's four headline artists being women, creating greater opportunities and visibility for female and non-binary musicians. The programme also reflects a festival that sees wellbeing as integral to the live music experience, by offering low and no-alcohol drink options throughout the weekend. Pop Mutations has built its reputation by supporting emerging artists and creating inclusive opportunities across Scotland's independent music scene. Following the success of the inaugural Pop Mutations x Tiny Changes event in 2025, the festival now returns as an annual celebration of collaboration, with growing support from artists, agents and partners who share its belief that independent music thrives when communities invest in one another.
