About This Event

This Glasgow institution has cultivated its reputation as the premier launchpad for emerging comedic talent, hosting up to ten fresh voices each week. The nightly programme offers a genuine glimpse into the early stages of a performer's journey, from tentative first steps to confident stage presence. Whether you are seeking a new favourite star or simply enjoying raw, unpolished material, the atmosphere captures the essential spirit where every career begins.

This long-running weekly beginner's showcase is regarded as the best open mic night in the UK, offering a platform for up to ten new acts each week. The programme features performers treading the boards for the very first time alongside older hands dropping in to try out new material. It serves as the starting point for everyone, providing an opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow today.

Additional dates include 29 September 2026, 06 October 2026, 13 October 2026, 20 October 2026, 27 October 2026, 03 November 2026, 10 November 2026, 17 November 2026, 24 November 2026, 01 December 2026, 08 December 2026, 15 December 2026, and 22 December 2026.
