As autumn gives way to winter, The Makkist invites you to gather, make and discover. Explore a carefully curated market of independent makers, artists and craftspeople from across Scotland and beyond, with a changing line-up across the weekend and the chance to discover beautifully made objects, original artwork and pieces you won’t find on the high street. Across the weekend, an evolving programme of creative workshops will invite you to slow down, learn something new and make alongside skilled practitioners, while a creative materials swap shop offers the chance to give unused materials a new life. Taking inspiration from Samhain, folklore and the turning of the seasons, expect a warm, creative weekend celebrating making in all its forms: From traditional skills and contemporary craft to new ideas and unexpected discoveries.
