The Guest (2014) + Mystery Screening, Saturday, October 31st, Doors, 6.30pm Get ready for the ultimate retro throwback thriller and join us on Halloween night for a big screen presentation of the ridiculously entertaining, The Guest. Blending synth soaked 1980's nostalgia with brutal action, suspense and plenty of humour this lean thriller stars Dan Stevens in a charismatic performance as David, a charming veteran who arrives on the door step of a grieving family claiming to be their late son’s best friend. But as Halloween approaches a string of mysterious deaths plague the town and David’s dark secret begins to unravel. Featuring a pulsing soundtrack, pitch-black humour and another sharp performance from modern scream queen Maika Monroe, the Guest demands to be seen with a crowd. The Guest will be followed by a mystery screening. We aren’t going to tell you what it is so you’ll just have to wait for the big give away. Both evenings begin with a live performance of some spooky tunes on the Wurlitzer cinema organ courtesy of The Scottish Cinema Organ Trust.
