What the Weekend Comprises of: • 6 hours of Partnered Soul Lindy Classes • 2 hours of Solo Soul Taster Classes • A Saturday Night Soul Party • A Sunday Afternoon Party with Homemade Cake! Schedule: Saturday 28th November - Venue: Garnethill Multicultural Centre: 11.00-12.30pm: Soul Lindy Class Lunch Break 1.30-2.30pm: Taster Class 2.45-4.15pm: Soul Lindy Class 7.00-10.00pm: Party Time! Saturday 29th November - Venue: Glasgow University Union 11.00-12.30pm: Soul Lindy Class Lunch Break 1.30-3.00pm: Soul Lindy Class 3.15-4.15pm: Taster Class 4.15-5.30: Party Time with Homemade Cakes! The only previous experience you will need is to have a basic foundation of Lindy Hop, 6-count and 8-count Lindy Hop - You can learn Lindy Hop or Soul Lindy ahead of the event at Glasgow Jitterbugs weekly drop in dance classes. What is Soul Lindy? Soul Lindy has some similarities and cross-overs with traditional Lindy Hop, but there are key differences in the footwork involved , the connection, the rhythm and the movement. Come along and find out what makes Soul Lindy its own special style!
