Formed in Glasgow in 2006, Twin Atlantic have established themselves as one of Scotland's most prominent rock bands. Fronted by vocalist Sam McTrusty alongside bassist Ross McNae, the band built a dedicated following through early punk-influenced DIY gigs before achieving mainstream success with their gold-selling album Free (2011) and its hit single "Heart and Soul". Over the past two decades, they have frequented the main stages of major festivals like TRNSMT and Download, while building deep roots in Glasgow's historic music scene at venues such as King Tut's and the Barrowlands. The band surprised fans with a secret set at this year's TRNSMT festival to announce their eighth studio album, Separation from the Animals, recorded across Abbey Road, Glasgow, and Toronto, which is scheduled for release in October 2026.
