Art Deco has the reputation of being the most glamorous and popular style of the 20th century which was prevalent during the 1920s and 1930s

In three lectures we will review the development of the Art Deco within the context of its social and economic environment and look at specific examples of objets d’arts, including silver, jewellery, furniture, ceramics, clocks and architecture.

Our lecturer Pamela is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars., after a 12 year career at Royal Academy is now a freelance art consultant and lecturer who specialises in British Domestic Architecture and Modern British Art - with a particular love for the 1920s and 1930s.

There will be an opportunity to handle Art Deco objets d’art such as silver, glass, literature, jewellery and ceramics during the day.
