A workshop to help parents and guardians connect the children in their care with nature, biodiversity and the natural world.

This workshop is for parents and guardians only, it is not for children.

Want to know more about Ireland’s wildlife and landscape to pass on to the next generation? Join us and learn at NPWS’s Knocksink Wood this Dublin Mountains Festival ~ Féile na Sléibhte!

This half-day workshop, led by NPWS Knocksink Education Guides comprises classroom sessions, guided discussion and of course plenty of time in the woods! It all takes place in the beautiful autumnal surroundings of Knocksink Wood, as well as using the Education Centre on site.

The workshop is free, but places are limited, and booking is essential. Please note that this event is for parents and guardians of children rather than the children themselves - we’ll do events for kids another day!

Venue: Knocksink Wood Education Centre, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, A98N295. Please note there is currently no vehicle access to Knocksink Wood, the group will meet at the Knocksink Wood gate on the R117 County Road.

Public Transport: Enniskerry Village is served by buses from the City Centre (Route 44) and Bray (Route L15), it is a 15–20-minute walk from the village to Knocksink Wood Education Centre.
