Creative Writing Workshop: Humber Tales
Join our immersive creative writing workshop to explore the dramatic and ever-changing coastal environment of the Humber.In this FREE writing workshop, TRACC researcher and writer Victoria Leslie guides you through a series of exercises to develop compelling and vivid prose focused on place, memory and nature, as well as imagining the future of the Humber in words.
When: Saturday, September 12, 2006, from 12.00 to 14.00
Where: LaCuna, 1 Kingsway, Cleethorpes, DN35 8QU

Costs: FREE - £5 refundable deposit payable on booking
Level: Open to all levels, from beginners to experienced writers
This workshop is part of the Transformative Research Action for Resilient Coastal Communities (TRACC) project which examines how coastal places can become more resilient, sustainable and socially just. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to TRACC research and share their creative writing if desired.Victoria Leslie is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Greenwich who specialises in place-writing and creative methods in environmental research. She is also the author of the short story collection Skein and Bone (Undertow Books) and the novel Bodies of Water (Salt Publishing).
